OIS understands that families are an essential part of our Pitt international community. We have a number of ways to help families transition to living in the United States and understand their immigration statuses. OIS provides a number of Fact Sheets for families on topics such as English as a Second Language (ESL) Resources and Enrolling a Child in School. In addition, OIS hosts a series of Lunch and Learns and Field Trips as part of our Experience America program. Experience America not only allows family members to attend, we strongly encourage it (so much that OIS staff brings our families on Field Trips too)! We also send a monthly Families Newsletter with local events and information. If you would like an email address added to our Families Newsletter, please email OIS@pitt.edu. Another way you can connect with OIS is through our social media accounts, which also features cultural information, upcoming events, and more.
