DIRECTOR
David Bryan Clubb is the Director of the Office of International Services (OIS) at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), where he leads a team of 16 full-time staff members, 1 Graduate Student Assistant, and several student workers, in providing a variety of services to the international population and the University at large. As Director, David is responsible for the overall administration and management of the office, which includes the following areas of responsibility:
- Ensuring University compliance with all federal, state, and local laws/regulations regarding international students, international faculty, international staff, other international visitors, and their accompanying dependents (i.e., spouse and children);
- Oversight of the international admissions functions of the office, including foreign academic credential evaluations;
- Oversight of the immigration services functions of the office for international students, international faculty, international staff, other international visitors, and their accompanying dependents (i.e., spouse and children);
- Oversight of the international programming and public relations functions of the office, which includes social/cultural programs and events designed to promote international good will, assist international visitors in establishing social acquaintances, and provide for cultural, social, and educational exchange;
- OIS human resources management;
- OIS budget management and oversight;
- OIS strategic planning;
- Program development, curriculum-writing, marketing, and teaching or presenting for Communication, Education, and Outreach (CEO) initiatives and other strategic initiatives of the office (e.g., International Services Development Track (ISDT) Workshops through the Faculty & Staff Development Program (FSDP), PASSPORT, etc.);
- Facilitation of internal and external partnerships with all University schools and centers, including the University Center for International Studies; and
- Engagement in advocacy initiatives, in partnership with the Office of Community and Governmental Relations, regarding public policy issues that affect the international population at the University.

- Chair, International Services Advisory Committee (ISAC), reporting to Dr. Kathy W. Humphrey, Vice Provost and Dean of Students (2003-present).
- Member, Provost's International Coordination Council (ICC), reporting to Dr. James V. Maher, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor (2004-present).
- Member, Provost's Area Planning & Budgeting Committee (PAPBC), reporting to Dr. James V. Maher, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor (2006-2007).
- Member, Provost's Area Planning & Budgeting Committee (PAPBC), reporting to Dr. James V. Maher, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor (2004-2005).
- Chair, Student Affairs Planning Committee (SAPC), reporting to Dr. Jack L. Daniel, Vice Provost and Dean of Students (2004).

Biography
Prior to starting his position at Pitt in October 2001, David was employed at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI) in Baltimore, MD as the Director of Immigrant Services in the Office of International Services. During his tenure at JHMI, David led the office through a period of rapid growth and change, developing a clear mission and identity for the office, integrating new technological resources, implementing formal policies and procedures, improving physical infrastructure, increasing fiscal resources, and in other ways raising the standard of excellence within the office. David has also worked in the field of student development at the University of South Carolina and in the field of international education at the University of Houston.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Religious Studies from Elon University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Intercultural Studies from Columbia International University. In addition, David completed the MBA Essentials Program (MBAe) in the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, Center for Executive Education, at the University of Pittsburgh, in December 2004.
David is actively involved in public policy and advocacy efforts at the local, state, national, and international level promoting the advancement of international educational and cultural exchange.
He has previously traveled abroad extensively to 23 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean to places such as China, India, Haiti, Brazil, Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Canada, Greece, Jordan, Egypt, Kenya, Djibouti, and Israel, to name a few.
